Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small file downloaded onto your device (computer, smartphone or tablet) when you access a website, used to store and retrieve information about the browsing you do from that device.

At Essencia Azul we use cookies and similar technologies in a limited and privacy-respecting way: those strictly necessary for the site to work securely, those that remember your preferences and, only if you allow it, analytics cookies to improve the site.

We use cookies for three purposes, all aimed at your security and your experience:

• Security and operation: so the site works correctly and to protect the contact form against fraudulent use and attacks.
• Preferences: remember options that personalize your experience, such as language.
• Site improvement: with your permission, understand on an aggregate basis how the site is used in order to make improvements.

Strictly necessary (technical and security)

They enable browsing and the correct operation of the site. Among other purposes, they serve to identify the session, provide security elements during browsing and control fraud linked to the security of the service.

Specifically, the contact form uses a session cookie (PHPSESSID) that stores a security token (CSRF) to verify that the submission really comes from our site and to protect against request forgery and fraudulent submissions. They do not require consent and, without them, the form cannot work securely.

Configuration or preferences

They remember information so you can access the site with features that personalize your experience, such as the site language. In our case they are stored via the browser's local storage (not sent to any server): your language preference and your choice about cookies.

Analytics or measurement optional · opt-in

They allow the aggregate tracking and analysis of visitor behavior in order to make improvements to the site. We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC), which sets its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish visitors and sessions.

These cookies are only activated if you accept them. The information is aggregated, is not used for advertising or to identify you personally, and we do not build profiles.

Unlike other sites, at Essencia Azul we do not use:

• Behavioral advertising cookies or personalized ads.
• User profiling or building of interest profiles.
• Precise geolocation cookies for commercial purposes.
• Third-party advertising cookies or ad-network cookies.

Nor do we sell or share your data with advertisers.

In addition to the technical security cookie, we apply server-side measures (which do not set cookies or profile you) to protect the service and those who write to us:

• Per-IP submission limit: to prevent abuse and bulk submissions of the contact form.
• HTTPS encryption on all communications, with strict transport security (HSTS).
• Security headers that protect against common attacks (clickjacking, content injection, etc.).

These measures detect and prevent malicious or fraudulent activity, and ensure that data is transmitted securely.

Below is a schematic summary of the cookies and local storage we use, so you can identify them in your browser:

Local storage (ea-lang, ea-consent) is not technically a cookie, but we include it for transparency: it is stored only in your browser and is not transmitted to any server.

You can choose which cookies operate on this site:

• From our "Cookie settings" panel, available in the footer, which shows the notice again so you can accept or withdraw your analytics consent at any time.
• From your browser settings, where you can block or delete cookies already installed:

• By enabling private browsing, with which your browser stops storing cookies, history and other information about the pages you visit.

You can disable analytics cookies without affecting how the site works. The technical and security cookies are strictly necessary for the form to work securely.

The legal basis for analytics cookies is your express consent: they are only activated if you accept them in the cookie notice on your first visit. If you reject them or make no decision, no Google tool is loaded and no analytics cookie is installed.

The technical and security cookies are strictly necessary to provide the service you request (for example, submitting the form securely) and are therefore exempt from consent.

If you accept analytics, the data is processed on Google's servers, which may be located in the United States. Google acts as a data processor under its privacy policy and applies the corresponding safeguards for the international transfer of data.
